Operations at the Airport:

As a private airport, the corporation is responsible for all expenses and operations on the property. Safety, convenience and enjoyment are the three driving factors for the following  operational rules:

  • The airport has 2,575’ of 50’wide asphalt aligned for 17-35 runways.
  • The airport elevation is 1,255’.
  • The approach end of 35 has paving for approximately 550’ before the start of the  runway. This is not a displaced threshold but rather a taxiway that is aligned  with the runway. Operations other than taxiing are not allowed south of the  runway threshold.
  • Runway 17 has a 100’ displaced threshold at the North end that is in addition to  the 2,575’ in length. You are required to land after this displacement, but the  entire length may be used for takeoffs. Please be aware of wind shear from  trees.
  • Night operations are not allowed. Normal operating hours are from civil sunrise to civil sunset. There is no longer any runway lighting or rotating beacon.
  • The airport is approved for VFR operations only. There is no weather reporting  station at the airport, but you can contact nearby airports:
